From my inbox. I call it: Put your money where your mouth is, or in this case, Do something.
I’ve weighed-in with my humblest of opinions about Colin Kaepernick. I absolutely, regardless of what he stands for, accept his right to do nothing but sit there and not stand for the flag. Ok. Now this article presents a shared value view (that means we might all agree because, even though we think we are this or that, we do share many of the same, exact, basic values that we have as part of our “permanent” set of beliefs.) Note, I’m not agreeing 100% with everything said in the article, yet the idea that we have to get off our dead a**es and do something if we want change in the world resonated.
“Yep, Kap, Black Lives Do Matter… So Show It!” Is a piece that articulately spells out a number of effective and useful ways to really have Black Lives Matter. I liked it as the actions recommended make so much sense. We live in a world where we spin around griping at stuff and never, never take an action that makes a difference, even if it is a little one.
